SHERIFF’S OFFICE DEPUTIES HOST HOLIDAY SHOPPER SAFETY PROGRAM AT OLD TOWN SPRING
(HOUSTON, TX) – Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, along with members of the HCSO’s Explorer Program and Citizen Police Academy (CPA) Alumni, are at Old Town Spring again this year offering shoppers and business owners safety tips to enhance their holiday shopping experience.
The Old Town Spring business community is a popular retail area visited by thousands of shoppers each holiday season. With over 120 shops, restaurants and places of interest, this typically quiet area becomes alive during the holiday season.
In an effort to enhance public safety and awareness within the area this holiday season, the HCSO is providing business owners and shoppers with useful information about how to avoid becoming a crime victim and other holiday-related crime prevention tips.
The 2013 Holiday Shopper Safety program is in effect throughout the holiday period ending on Sunday, December 22, 2013.
Shoppers can stop by and discuss crime prevention and safety with HCSO deputies, Explorers, and members of the CPA at the Amish Barn on Main Street and Gentry Street.
