INCIDENT: Murder / Home Invasion Robbery

LOCATION: 900 block of 40th St., San Bernardino

VICTIM: #1- Lorna Gable, 84 year old female, San Bernardino
#2- Confidential, 91 year old male

SUSPECT: Freddie Weston, 33, San Bernardino

UPDATE:
The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, Homicide Detail, made an arrest in the murder investigation of 84 year old San Bernardino resident, Lorna Gable. Homicide Investigators, with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Team and Central Station deputies, arrested 33 year old San Bernardino resident, Freddie Weston. The arrest occurred on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, following the execution of search warrants in the 5100 block of N. 3rd Avenue, in the city of San Bernardino.
Weston was booked at Central Detention Center for murder and residential robbery.

SUMMARY:
On Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 4:24 a.m. deputies from Central Station responded to a 911 call on 40th St. in the unincorporated area of San Bernardino. The caller was an elderly female and stated there was an unknown male in her home. When the suspect realized the woman was awake, he began to beat her, causing severe injuries to her upper body. The suspect then assaulted the victim’s husband before taking an undisclosed amount of cash, a 1935 Colt .22 caliber handgun and other property.
On February 15, 2013, Lorna died as a result of her attack.
