Frankie Dakota Noles, of Marion, charged with stealing school-owned vehicle, breaking into business

Detective Paul Alkire of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Frankie Dakota Noles, 21, of Miller Avenue in Marion, with four counts of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle, four counts of misdemeanor larceny, two counts of felony breaking and entering and one count each of felony larceny after breaking and entering, felony possession of burglary tools, felony larceny of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor injury to real property.
Deputies Josh Jones and Jacob Crowder responded to an alarm at Key Wood Specialties, on Old Greenlee Road, at 5:43 a.m. Monday and discovered that two windows had been broken.
While searching the area, Jones found a man, later identified as Noles, walking on Old Greenlee Road. Employees told officers a $500 TV was missing from Key Wood.
Near the business, stuck in the mud, was also a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria that belonged to McDowell County Schools.
Alkire said Noles broke into the school bus garage, on Reid Street, early Monday morning, entered multiple vehicles and stole two fire extinguishers, a cell phone and a ladder before taking the school system-owned car and leaving.
The detective added that Noles drove to Key Wood Specialties, broke in through a window and removed the TV.
The school system’s Crown Victoria was recovered. There was no damage.
