Ft Dodge woman jailed on multiple charges.

On Thursday, November 14th, 2013 at approximately 11:20 P.M., Estherville police stopped a motor vehicle for suspicion of Operating While Intoxicated. The driver was later identified as 24 year old Erica S. Reader of Fort Dodge, who refused to cooperate with the officers’ investigation.

During the attempt by officers to speak with Reader, she locked the officers out of the car and eventually had to be forcibly removed. Reader was placed under arrest for Interference with Official Acts, Operating While Intoxicated, and Driving While Suspended. Reader continued to be combative at the Emmet County Jail and was eventually also charged by the Emmet County Sheriff’s Department with Assault on a Corrections Officer. All charges are Misdemeanors and punishable by fines and/or jail time.

Reader was taken before a judge and remains in the Emmet County Jail with a bond of $2,000.
She was also found to have an outstanding warrant from Webster County for Domestic Abuse with a bond of $2,000 cash or surety.
