Indiana State Police Investigation Leads to Felony Convictions
Richmond – An Indiana State Police investigation which began in January of 2012 culminated today in the conviction of a Richmond man as the result of a jury trial. Paul A. Croucher, age 45, was convicted on one count of Child Molestation, Class “A” Felony, and one count of Child Molestation, Class “C” Felony.
The investigation was conducted by Pendleton District Investigator Brent Dougherty after a 12 year old child came forward in January 2012 and stated they had been molested by Croucher over a period of five years. After completion, the investigation was turned over to Wayne County Prosecutor Mike Shipman for his review.
After his review of the case a felony warrant was issued for Croucher, who was arrested on April 19th of 2012. Today as a result of a jury trial Croucher was convicted of the crimes. Sentencing for Croucher has been set for December 13, 2013.
