On October 18, 2013, between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., a residential burglary occurred on Cristo Rey Place in Los Altos.  The suspects entered the victim’s unlocked home and ransacked its contents.  The suspects fled the scene before the crime was discovered by the returning residents.  The victims reported a loss of an undisclosed amount of jewelry and electronics. 

Los Altos Police officers responded to the scene and conducted an investigation.  Later that same day, Los Altos detectives obtained information and evidence, which indicated the suspects had fled to the city of Oakland.  Detectives conducted a follow-up investigation and obtained surveillance video of two suspects in possession of the victim’s stolen property.  Los Altos investigators were able to identify the burglary suspects and learned that they had been arrested by Morgan Hill Police for unrelated charges.  The suspects arrested were identified as 20-year-old Dennis J. Windham and 23-year-old Andre Marcell Clark, both residents of San Francisco. 

On November 4, 2013, the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office filed First Degree Burglary charges against both Dennis Windham and Andre Clark.  Both suspects are currently in custody at the Elmwood Correctional Facility, each on $250,000 bail.
