Local man arrested for alleged attack on mother of his child

A local man was arrested for misdemeanor assault after allegedly choking the mother of his child during a confrontation at her residence late Wednesday.
Joshua P. Noles, 25, who lists an address of 315 Buccaneer St., was taken into custody shortly after 9 p.m. at the victim’s residence in the 200 block of Lorado Loop and charged with assault on a family or household member, punishable by up to one year in jail.
According to reports, Garland County sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call from the residence and spoke to the victim, 23, who stated Noles entered her house and got into an argument with her about her phone and at one point pushed her down on the floor and began choking her.
Deputies noted the suspect sustained some scratches on his neck during the struggle, but the victim didn’t have any visible injuries and didn’t require any medical treatment.
The victim’s father, 50, was at the scene and reportedly witnessed the incident.
The suspect told deputies he “just lost it” when the victim was talking to her boyfriend on the phone.
Noles had bonded out as of Thursday morning and is set to appear Nov. 19 in Garland County District Court
