Detective charges woman (Peggy Mills) with stealing property from home of relative 
Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Peggy Smith Mills, 59, of Forsyth Street in Marion, with one felony count each of breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.
Kimberly Harris McKinney, also of Forsyth Street, reported on Oct. 13 that someone stole $500 worth of items from her property, including food, a weed trimmer, jewelry and a wooden display box containing a flag.
An investigation led Brown to Mills, who is McKinney’s aunt.
