Congrats to Deputy Aimee Knop for receiving the 2013 Woodstock Moose Lodge's Community Hero Award. Deputy Knop has coordinated Active Shooter Lockdown drills with schools, increasing the safety of the children; coordinated a community Drug Take-back Event in cooperation with the DEA, which has resulted in the safe disposal of over 200 pounds of expired or otherwise no longer needed prescription drugs in 2013; conducted numerous community education events; and is currently actively involved in coordination of the annual Shop with a Cop event that provides shopping experience for the many underprivileged children, who might not receive a gift for Christmas.
