Hazelton man arrested for DUI early Saturday morning.

On November 2, 2013, at 2:37 a.m. the Gibson County Sheriff`s Office received a call that there was a Jeep in the middle of State Road 65 just north of Mark Ford Road. Deputy John Fischer and Deputy Loren Barchett arrived and found the Jeep still in the middle of the north bound lane. Deputy Fischer approached the vehicle on the passenger side and observed a male sitting in the driver side seat slumped over the steering wheel. Deputy Fischer then went to the driver side and opened the door and got the vehicle into park. Deputy Fischer and Deputy Barchett got the driver to step out of the vehicle. After a roadside investigation it was found that the driver, who was identified as Clint A. Shoultz age 28 of Hazleton was intoxicated. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered and Mr. Shoultz was transported to the Gibson County Sheriff`s Office for a Chemical Test. Mr. Shoultz failed the Chemical Test by registering .14 and was charged with Operating A Vehicle While Intoxicated. Mr. Shoultz has since posted a $450 bond.
