Traffic stop ends with arrest of trio on drug charges. 
On November 2, 2013 at 7:27 p.m. Deputy U.B. Smith was Northbound on US 41 when a Black passenger car passed him at a high rate of speed. Deputy Smith stopped the vehicle and upon approaching the vehicle he smelled the strong odor of Burnt Marijuana. During a roadside investigation three of the four occupants were taken into custody and charged with Possession of Marijuana under 30 grams and Possession of Paraphernalia. Those arrested were Mariah M. Dorn age 22 of Newport, Indiana, Evelyn M. Hooker age 48 of New Market, Alabama, and Melissa L. Stacey age 27 of Chrisman, Illinois. All three remain in custody at the Gibson County Jail on a $2600 bond.
