Routine traffic stop on US 41 results in arrest of two on drug charges.

On October 29, 2013, at approximately 12:30 a.m. Deputy Bryan Small stopped a Silver 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse that was traveling Northbound on US 41 at a high rate of speed. Deputy Small stated that upon approaching the vehicle he detected the odor of burnt Marijuana. During a roadside investigation the driver Cody A. Jenkins gave consent to the officers on scene to search his vehicle. During a search of the vehicle Marijuana was found in the vehicle as well as an alcoholic beverage. Deputy Small questioned each person in the vehicle about the Marijuana and the alcoholic beverage. Ultimately Deputy Small administered portable breath tests to each individual in Mr. Jenkins car. Upon the close of the roadside investigation and the results of the portable breath tests Tyson V. Paris age 18 of Princeton and Taylor S. Guzzo age 22 of Evansville were taken into custody.

Tyson V. Paris was charged with Minor Possession of Alcohol and Possession of Marijuana under 30 grams. Mr. Paris is still in custody on an $1100 bond.

Tayolor S. Guzzo was charged with Furnishing Alcohol to a minor and Possession of Marijuana under 30 grams. Mr. Guzzo has since posted a $1200 bond.
