A Jessieville man was arrested Friday afternoon after deputies responded to an alleged disturbance with a gun at a Mountain Pine residence.
James K. Dean, 38, who lists an address of 109 Dovetail St., was taken into custody shortly after 4 p.m. and charged with terroristic threatening, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in jail.
He was later released on $1,000 bond and is set to appear Nov. 5 in district court.
According to reports, GCSD Deputy Shane Tatum was dispatched to a residence in the 3700 block of West Glazypeau Road to an alleged disturbance and checked the perimeter after his arrival.
He did not locate anyone, but then Cpl. Felix Hunter arrived with consent to search and a house key and the deputies entered and located Dean hiding under the bed.
He was removed and placed in handcuffs and as they were walking out, Dean allegedly became belligerent and refused to cooperate. He was placed on the ground until he finally complied.
Once in the back of the deputy’s unit, he began complaining of chest pains, stating, “I smoked some bad f------ dope” so LifeNet were called and checked him out.
At that point, Dean reportedly said, “F--- it. Take me to jail. I will do the crappy flop down there and sue all you m------------!” He was taken to jail without further incident.
The report did not indicate the relationship of Dean to the female complainant, 60, who had called deputies about the disturbance at her residence, but he listed another female resident as his nearest relative.
