A local man who was arrested Thursday night for allegedly attacking his sister was arrested again Saturday after returning to the residence despite a no contact order being issued.
Eric Loring White, 46, of 119 Mossyrock St., was first taken into custody at the residence around 8:30 p.m. Thursday and charged with third-degree domestic battery and terroristic threatening, both misdemeanors punishable by up to one year in jail.
According to reports, Garland County sheriff’s Deputy Robert Hotho was dispatched to the residence to a disturbance in progress and spoke to the victim, Cheryl Burris, 49, who also lives there, who stated she was attacked by her brother, White, who had left the scene.
She stated White had grabbed her arm, twisted it behind her and began punching her in the face and head at least 10 times while yelling, “I am going to kill you.”
Hotho noted the victim’s right eye was swollen and her left ear was red and bleeding.
While the deputy was still taking the report, White returned and was taken into custody. He was initially held without bond, but later bonded out on the charges. A court order was issued barring White from having any contact with the victim.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, Hotho and Deputy Matthew Wharton we re dispatched to the same residence again because White had reportedly returned.
They spoke to the victim, who stated White was back and in a storage shed at the rear of the property. The deputies found White and took him into custody and Hotho noted White still had a copy of the no contact order in his jacket.
He was charged with harassment, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year, and criminal trespass, punishable by up to 90 days in jail.
White appeared in Garland County District Court where he was sentenced to 30 days in jail. He is scheduled to be released Nov. 10.
