Registered sex offender (Jesse Burse) charged with failing to change his address 
Capt. Ricky Crisp of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Jesse Dean Burse, 28, of Jenny Lind Drive in Nebo, with failure to register as a sex offender and served him with an outstanding warrant for failure to pay child support. He was taken into custody in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
The Sheriff’s Office received information last week that Burse had moved from the Jenny Lind Drive residence where he was living. On Sunday, Oct. 20, deputies responded to a domestic dispute at Woodlawn Motel and found Burse to be staying there.
By law, after moving, registered sex offenders have three business days to report to the Sheriff’s Office to change their address. Crisp said Burse allegedly failed to do so.
Burse was convicted of one count of sexual battery in Rutherford County on Sept. 26, 2007.
