SCAM ALERT from McDowell County Sheriff's Office: People posing as Publisher's Clearing House representatives, asking for money 
McDowell County sheriff's deputies are urging local residents to be aware of a scam in which people claiming to represent Publisher's Clearing House call and advise that they've won money.
The caller says they will send the winnings if Publisher's Clearing House is mailed a certain amount of money to cover the check.
Citizens should NOT give out any information or send any money.
