*Update* Missing Boy in Santee Found Safe

Missing 12-year-old boy in Santee found safe by Harbor Police just after 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15th in the 3300 block of North Harbor Drive in the Midway area near Lindbergh Field. Thank you for looking out for him.

We want to thank our volunteers with the Sheriff's Search and Rescue (SAR) Team. The Sheriff’s Search and Rescue is an all-volunteer unit. Together, they perform wilderness and urban rescues and search for missing and at risk persons. Teams are available 24 hours a day to respond to local, state and federal agency requests. If you live in Santee, be advised of increased law enforcement activity in your area. A search is underway for a missing 12-year-old boy. A command post for Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteers is set up at 9545 Cuyamaca Street, Santee. Sheriff's ASTREA may also be overhead making announcements regarding the search.

The boy's name is Eric Alexander Cheyssial. Eric was last seen walking home from Pride Academy in the 9300 block of Prospect Avenue around 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15th. Eric was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, black or grey hooded jacket with a green design on the front. Eric is 5'8" tall, weighs 175 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes.

Eric is considered a missing person at risk because of his age. If you see Eric or has information on his whereabouts, call the Sheriff's Department at (858) 565-5200. You can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
