On October 19, 2013 Byron, GA is hosting the “Susan G Komen 5K Race for the Cure” at North Peach Park. The Byron Police Department wants to let the citizens of Byron and Peach County know that we will have several roads closed in the area for this event. White Rd will be closed starting at 8:00am. We will start closing the other roadways at 8:45am to all traffic along the route.
Parking for race participants will be behind Byron Elementary School and Byron Middle School. Participants are asked to turn on to New Dunbar Rd to go to the parking areas. No Parking will be allowed on White Rd.
These roads will be closed:
White Rd from Peavy and James E Williams to GA 49
Walker Rd from Allred Rd to White Rd
Majestic Oak Cir
Willow Oak Way
Red Oak Rd from Willow Oak Way to White Rd
We will reopen roadways as permitted by the participants. White Rd will remain closed for the entire 5K walk/run from GA 49 to Peavy Rd and James E Williams Pkwy.
