Newark Police are Investigating a Fatal Vehicle Collision in Newark . 
On 10-11-2013 at approximately 9:47 PM Newark Police and Alameda County Fire (ALCO) personnel were dispatched to a vehicle collision near the intersection of Newark Blvd at Dairy Avenue. Upon arrival officers located a 1995 Jeep sport utility vehicle which had collided head on with a tree.
ALCO Fire was able to extract the 51 year old male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. The male was transported to San Jose Regional Medical Center in grave condition. Upon arrival at the hospital the driver succumbed to his injuries. The collision is under investigation. The identity of the driver is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
