On October 7, 2013, The Corona Police Department was notified by a concerned guardian of possible inappropriate sexual touching of an 11 year female while she was in the care of staff at Bixby Oaks daycare center, located at 1421 Rimpau Ave. in Corona, Ca.

The alleged suspect was identified as Miguel Flores, 26 years, of Corona, Ca. Flores was identified as a staff member of the daycare center. Corona Police Detectives interviewed the 11 year old and learned of specific incidents when the victim was alone with Flores.

Detectives also learned of a possible second, 8 year old female victim, who had been inappropriately touched by Flores. The 8 year old was interviewed and was able to provide specific information about Flores as well.

On October 8, 2013, Detectives stopped Flores as he left the daycare center, on his way to pick up children from local schools. He was arrested and transported to the Corona Police Department for further investigation. He was later booked at Robert Presley Detention Center on charges of kidnapping with the intent of sexual assault on a minor under the age of 14 years old.

The Corona Police Department has learned that there are approximately 80 additional children registered at Bixby Oaks daycare. Detectives would like to encourage these parents/guardians to talk to their children about Bixby Oaks, and specifically about Miguel Flores. If any parent or guardian feels their child may have had inappropriate contact with Flores, please contact Senior Detective Andy Bryant.
