The Kensington Planning Board will hold an informational meeting as well as a Public Hearing on the proposed Kensington Floodplain Management Ordinance, which is one of the requirements for the town to participate in the FEMA National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). You are being sent this notification because it appears your property may be within or in close proximity to a special flood hazard area as shown on FEMA’s floodplain map for the Town of Kensington. Please join the Planning Board on October 15, 2013 for the Public Hearings at the Kensington Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room to learn more and how it may affect you as a property owner in Kensington.
There will be more information available on the Town Website under the public hearings page and handouts will be available that night.
