On 10-01-13 at 7:20 A.M a male black between 25-35 years old with dread locks attempted to kidnap a 14 year old female Hispanic walking to school in the area of Atlantic Avenue and Compton Boulevard. The suspect exited his vehicle and began to drag her towards his car. A good Samaritan described as a female Hispanic driving a new grey Charger pulled the suspect off of the victim. The suspect fled the location in a maroon 1993 Chevrolet Camaro with T-Tops.
Approximately 15 minutes later, the suspect drove two miles westbound on Compton Boulevard and attempted to kidnap another female Hispanic juvenile on her way to school. The victim was able to get away from the suspect and ran to her residence.
During the course of the investigation the vehicle license plate was obtained, a composite sketch of the suspect was created, and a photograph of the vehicle was released to law enforcement and local schools in the Compton area. On October 4th, 2013, the suspect was arrested and booked at Compton Station for Attempted Kidnapping with a bail amount of $100,000. It is believed that there are possibly additional victims.
