There was a burglary Saturday evening (10/5) at a residence on Bouwery Place in Lake Cushetunk. It appears the homeowners interrupted the actor(s) when they returned home. An extensive search of the area was conducted; however the suspect(s) was not located. At this time we do not have any suspects, but there was some physical evidence left at the scene that detectives are processing.

As always we ask residents to be vigilant, we need our residents to report anything out of the ordinary. You and your neighbors know who and what vehicles belong in the area, we would rather respond to a "suspicious" person/vehicle only to discover it is someone visiting a resident, than have a resident see something and not call because they didn't want "to bother" the police
