VIBE Fundraiser

ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4TH @ 7:00 P.M., THE “IN THE MIX” ELATION TOUR WILL RETURN TO HOLDRUM VIBE!

THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL SCHOOL DANCE!

You don’t want to miss what is going to be the biggest party of the year. Think we’re exaggerating? Ask anyone who was at VIBE last year! With a massive-scale, custom-built production consisting of the most powerful lighting, audio, and special effects gear around….you're looking at one EPIC night.

The River Vale Police Department and the River Vale Police Officers Association* are sponsoring the event, known as VIBE, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4th, at the Holdrum Middle School in River Vale. The event is open to 6th, 7th, & 8th graders from River Vale and Hillsdale. Admission is $10 and all proceeds will support Mike Blazina’s courageous fight against cancer. Hot dogs, snacks, and water will be available for purchase courtesy of In Thyme Catered Events. Special thanks also to Ray’s Reproductions for donating the event flyers and the River Vale PTA for donating the candy. Due to anticipated high-volume traffic, please consider car-pooling and utilizing the Town Hall parking lot as an alternate drop-off / pick-up site.

“The group behind the Elation Tour, In the Mix, is a favorite of police departments and parent-teacher associations because of its turnkey ability to take any room and transform it into a nightclub, with no concerns over health, safety -- or fun. In the Mix also prides itself on its cutting-edge sound, lighting and video on massive screens. Party-goers can send live text messages and song requests to the 10-feet screens, making the experience interactive. Their DJs also know what keeps a room dancing.” - CliffviewPilot.com

Mike Blazina, a resident of River Vale, has been battling an aggressive form of stage IV kidney cancer known as Renal Cell Carcinoma since being diagnosed on October 3, 2012. Mike has served the community as a former baseball, basketball, and flag football coach. His wife, Kathy, has also supported the Township in various ways, including serving on the Board of Education and Parent Teacher Association among other things. Their children, Mike and Natalie, both graduated the River Vale Police Department’s Junior Police Academy during their time at Holdrum Middle School.

Donations made via check will be accepted at the River Vale Police Department and should be made payable to the River Vale Police Officers Association with “VIBE / Mike Blazina” indicated in the memo portion.
