MAN CONVICTED IN 1990 COLD CASE DOUBLE MURDER 
(HOUSTON, TX) – A man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for the 1990 capital murder of two Florida men in north Harris County.
On Thursday, September 26, 2013, Donald Miles was found guilty of capital murder and sentenced to 40 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for the murder of Robert Holley and William Migues.
On the evening of September 12, 1990, Holley, 43, and Migues, 25, were robbed and murdered in the 4300 block of Spring Cypress Rd. They were then taken and buried in a shallow grave in the 800 block of Century Plaza Drive. Their bodies weren’t discovered until February 27, 1991 by an individual searching through discarded auto parts in the vacant field.
The case went unsolved after the initial investigation.
In 2011, the HCSO’s Cold Case Unit reopened the investigation and identified Donald Wayne Miles as the prime suspect in the case. He was charged with capital murder.

So far the HCSO Cold Case Unit’s conviction rate is 100%.
