On September 21, 2013 at approximately 9:20 PM, Corcoran Police Officers were dispatched to the 1800 blk. of Dairy Avenue regarding an assault in progress. After arriving officers located an adult male lying in the roadway with a broken leg. The victim stated he was assault by four suspects and during the assault the suspects stole his phone. All the suspects fled on foot before officers arrived. Officer conducted an investigation and all four suspects were identified and later arrested with the assistance of the Kings County Gang Task Force. Three of the suspects were determined to be juveniles and the adult was identified as 35 year old Teofilo Vargas. All suspects arrested were all known associates/members of a criminal street gang. After the arrest of the juveniles they were transported and booked into the Kings County Juvenile facility on charges of assault, robbery, hate crime and criminal street gang enhancement. Vargas was booked into the Kings County Jail on charges of assault, robbery, hate crime and criminal street gang enhancement.
