Justin Ray Rector charged with stealing from grandmother and acquaintance
Detective Nathan Mace of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Justin Ray Rector, 27, of Johnson Hollow Road in Marion, with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. He was taken into custody in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
Mace said, on Sept. 14, Rector allegedly broke into the Proctors Knob Road residence belonging to his grandmother, Doris Rector, and stole more than $2,200 worth of property, including prescription medication, jewelry and money.
On Sept. 15, Rector allegedly broke into the home of an acquaintance, Jeffrey Ricketts, of Parker Padgett Road, and took a bow, knives, money and jewelry with a total value of $620.
Some of the property was recovered from pawn shops.
