Woods Cross, Utah – Woods Cross Police Department announced today that Officers responded
to 1413 West 2175 South on an auto pedestrian accident yesterday evening at approximately
7:30 pm.
Once on scene, Officers found that a two year old female, Miley Tran, had been injured after
being run over by a vehicle driven by a neighbor. Medical personnel provided emergency care
for Tran on scene and she was transported to Primary Childrens Medical Center by helicopter.
Tran later died from head injuries she sustained in the accident.
Miley Tran is from West Valley City and was visiting family members in Woods Cross at the
time of the accident.
Woods Cross Police would like to remind the public to be cautious while driving in residential
areas and to be diligent in maintaining situational awareness while entering or leaving a
driveway or parking area.
