Corrected: Traffic stop by Marion police officers Friday nets two suspects, knife, methamphetamine 
Detective Cpl. Eric Rodriguez of the Marion Police Department charged Joseph Ryan Kelley, 37, of Franklin Avenue in Marion, with felony trafficking in methamphetamine and misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon. He was taken into custody in lieu of a $100,500 bond.
Rodriguez also charged Phyllis Cheryl Morgan, 38, of Proctor’s Knob in Marion, with felony trafficking in methamphetamine. She was taken into custody in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
Shortly before 5 p.m. Friday, officers with the Marion Police Department stopped a Honda Civic off Tate Street because the vehicle’s tag was covered. The car was occupied by Kelley and Morgan.
Additional investigation at the scene by police, McDowell County sheriff’s deputies and state troopers, led authorities to seize a knife and 31.2 grams of methamphetamine.
