A graduating class of ex-offenders and post-supervised released persons were congratulated by Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca and dignitaries at Sheriff's Headquarters Thursday.
The “Emerging Leaders Academy” is a life skills, career development, entrepreneurship, and job placement program.
Joining Sheriff Baca in honoring the 38 graduates of the eight-week long “Emerging Leaders Academy, were members of the Los Angeles Urban League, Goodwill, Agape International Spiritual Center, and United States Probation Office, as well as Assistant Sheriff Terri McDonald, and Director Richard Weintraub of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
