August 9TH, 2013

Warrant Arrest – S.55th St. at Santa Clara Ave.
At approximately 1630 hours an officer conducted a vehicle stop and arrested the passenger, a 22 year old female from Richmond, for an outstanding warrant out of Marin County. The officer booked the woman at the El Cerrito Police Department and then transported her to the Martinez Detention Facility.

August 10th, 2013

Warrant Arrest and Possession of Controlled Substance Arrest – S. 55th St. at Potrero Ave.
During a pedestrian contact at approximately 1143 hours, an officer arrested a 36 year old male from Richmond for an outstanding warrant from Berkeley PD and possession of methamphetamine. The officer booked the man at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported him to the Berkeley Police Department jail.

Possession of Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia – Key Blvd. at Barrett Ave.
During a pedestrian contact at approximately 1500 hours, and officer arrested a 40 year old man from El Cerrito for possession of methamphetamine, cocaine and a narcotics smoking pipe. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and later released pending further investigation.

Warrant Arrest – Pic n Pac Liquors 10012 San Pablo Ave.
During a pedestrian contact at approximately 1713 hours, an officer arrested a 25 year old man from Oakland on two outstanding warrants from Berkeley PD. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Berkeley Police Department jail.

Warrant Arrest – 400 block of Norvell St.
Officers were dispatched to the area in regards to a male going into residential yards. Officers located and arrested a 27-year-old El Sobrante man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Domestic Battery – Dead End of Belmont Ave. / Creekside Park
Officers were dispatched to the area in regards to a male and female fighting. Officers arrived to find that a 27-year-old homeless man struck his girlfriend in the face during an argument. An officer arrested the man and booked him at the El Cerrito Police Department and then transported him to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Stolen Vehicle – 10458 San Pablo Ave.
An unknown suspect stole the victim’s vehicle at approximately 0200 hours while he was at a local establishment. Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of Orchard Supply Hardware approximately one hour after it was reported stolen. The vehicle had moderate front end damage and was determined to be involved in a hit and run on I-80.

Driving Under the Influence – Eastshore Blvd. / Potrero Ave.
Officers located a gold Honda Accord stopped at the stop light at the bottom of the Potrero Ave. off ramp. Both the driver and front passenger in the vehicle were asleep with the vehicle in gear. Officers were able to put the vehicle in park and remove the keys without waking either occupant. Officers subsequently arrested the driver, a 23-year-old Vallejo man for driving under the influence of alcohol. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released to a sober friend.
