One Acre Chatsworth (Co.) Brush Fire Results in Arson Arrests, Valley Circle Bl / Roscoe Bl. #LASD Lost Hills Stn.

At 4:30 PM, Friday, August 9, 2013, Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station received a call of a brush fire in the 24400 block of Woolsey Canyon Road in Unincorporated Chatsworth. The fire’s actual location was in a brush area just to the Northwest of the intersection of Valley Circle Blvd and Roscoe Blvd, unincorporated Chatsworth, Los Angeles County.

Los Angeles County Fire, Los Angeles City Fire, and Ventura County Fire Department firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. The fire was contained to under an acre and did not damage structures.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Arson investigators determined the fire was suspicious in origin.

Witnesses described two males who had been seen in the area.

A subsequent investigation by Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station deputies resulted in the arrests of 20-year old Suspect Mario Giovanni Zuvic of West Hills and 20-year old Suspect Jameson Raymond Hunt of Van Nuys for Arson. They were transported and booked for Arson at Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station with a bail of $75,000.00.
