Possession of a Loaded Concealed Firearm/Possession of Controlled Substances - San Pablo Ave/ Moeser Ln.
During a traffic stop, an El Cerrito police officer arrested a 39-year-old male from San Pablo for possession of a concealed loaded handgun in his vehicle, and a 26-year-old male from Vallejo for possession of controlled substances. The male from Vallejo was cited and released. The male from San Pablo was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Warrant Arrest – Freeway Motel, 11645 San Pablo Ave.
While responding to an unwanted person at the motel, an El Cerrito police officer arrested a 43-year-old male from Hoopa, CA for an outstanding traffic warrant. The male as arrested, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and cited and released.
Public Intoxication – 6060 Central Ave.
Officers were dispatched to Nations for a man on the ground in front of the business. Officers arrived to find a severely intoxicated 23-year-old Richmond man. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Driving under the Influence – San Pablo Ave. / Manila Ave.
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver, a 32-year-old San Leandro man, for driving under the influence of alcohol. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released to a sober friend.
August 3, 2013
Stolen Vehicle - Super 8 Motel, 6009 San Pablo Ave.
Between 2300 hours on August 2 and 0617 hours on August 3, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s Ford Crown Victoria.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – Super 8 Motel, 6009 San Pablo Ave.
During the above investigation, an officer recovered a Ford Crown Victoria stolen from Berkeley CA.
Outside Agency Assist – Raley’s Supermarket, San Pablo Dam Rd., San Pablo
At approximately 1613 hours, El Cerrito police officers assisted San Pablo PD and CCSO Deputy’s with a carjacking/robbery suspect who barricaded himself in the deli freezer. The 43-year-old male, would not respond to officers commands and was taken into custody by the El Cerrito police K-9. The male suspect was released to CCSO Deputies since the crime occurred in their jurisdiction. Coincidentally, El Cerrito officers arrested this same man on August 2 at the Freeway Motel.
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Forged Checks – San Pablo Ave. / Moeser Ln.
Officers conducted a pedestrian enforcement stop and arrested a 42-year-old Richmond woman for possession of methamphetamine and forged checks. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.
Driving under the Influence – 11150 San Pablo Ave.
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver, a 22-year-old Richmond woman, for driving under the influence of alcohol. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released to a sober friend.

Petty Theft – 1000 E.C. Plaza
Officers accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 47-year-old Richmond man after he entered Lucky and stole toiletries. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Warrant arrest – San Pablo Ave. / Portola Ave.
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver, a 42-year-old San Pablo woman, for an outstanding warrant. A search of her vehicle uncovered methamphetamine. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Possession of Fraudulent Driver’s License, Possession of Fraudulent Checks, Possession of Fraudulent Credit Cards – Carlson Blvd. / Huntington Ave.
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the passenger, a 44-year-old Richmond woman, for possession of fraudulent driver’s licenses, checks, and credit cards. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Resisting Arrest – 10400 block of San Pablo Ave.
During a traffic stop, officers arrested a 24-year-old male from Oakland after he would not comply with officer’s orders and attempted to walk away. Officers arrested the man, booked him at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License – San Pablo Ave. and Potrero Ave.
During a traffic stop, an officer arrested the driver, a 24-year-old male from Oakland, for driving on a suspended driver license. The driver did not have any means to identify himself. The officer detained the driver, identified him, and released him with a citation.
Petty Theft – CVS, 670 El Cerrito Plaza
An officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 58-year-old male from Oakland after he was caught stealing food from the business. The male was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Commercial Burglary (Shoplift) – Lucky’s, 1000 El Cerrito Plaza
An officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 41-year-old male from Richmond, after he stole food from the deli section. The man had no means to pay for the items he stole. El Cerrito police officers have arrested and contacted the man several times for theft related offenses. Officers booked the man and took him to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Petty Theft/ Drunk in Public – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave.
An officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 55-year-old male from Richmond after he was caught stealing alcohol from the store. The male was also found to be highly intoxicated. The male was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Petty Theft – 11450 San Pablo Ave.
Officers accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 25-year-old Richmond man after he entered Safeway and stole a bottle of alcohol and food. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
