Norwalk Station in conjunction with Biola University will be conducting an "active shooter" training exercise drill at Biola University. The instructors will consist of members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Tactics and Survival Training Staff. The purpose of the training is to provide Norwalk Station patrol personnel, Biola University police officers, the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau and Homeland Security with the opportunity to participate in realistic role playing to practice their skills and tactics in planning for and handling situations involving active shooters.
