Info. Wanted: 1am, Sat: Arson/Structure Fire, 100 blk W. Newgrove St, Lancaster #LASD 
On Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 1:00 AM, Lancaster Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the 100 block of West Newgrove Street, Lancaster, regarding a call of a house fire.
When the deputies arrived at the location the fire was being extinguished by Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters, Engine 33. Once the fire was extinguished, fire department personnel advised the deputies that the fire appeared to have been deliberately set.
The victim stated she was awakened by a noise and when she looked toward the front door she saw the house was on fire. She evacuated her family from the home and called 911.
Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Arson/Explosives Detail (AED) responded and took charge of the scene and investigation. The damage is estimated to be approximately $150,000. No one was injured during the incident.
