Shooting Death Investigation, Sat.12:19AM, 11600 blk South St, Artesia #LASD Homicide

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man on Saturday, July
27, 2013, at approximately 12:19 AM, in the 11600 block of South Street,
Artesia.

A group of men were inside a local restaurant when another patron who was also in the restaurant, walked up to one of the men in the group and started an argument with him. They took the argument outside and as they
continued to argue the suspect shot the victim with a handgun.

The victim who was hit in the torso was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle described only as a compact. There
is no information regarding the suspect.
