A reminder from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department to ALWAYS LOCK YOUR DOORS AND WINDOWS after an intruder entered a young girl’s bedroom in San Marcos.

The incident happened on Friday, July 19th just before 6:00 a.m. in the 1200 block of Calle Colnett. A man only described as wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt entered a grade-school-age girl’s bedroom and inappropriately touched her. The intruder ran off when the child screamed. Deputies from the San Marcos Station quickly responded, but could not locate the intruder. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Child Abuse Unit are continuing the investigation.
