Three Arrested At Hagerstown Meth Lab
Hagerstown – Today (07/19) around 2:30 p.m. troopers from the Pendleton District Meth Suppression Squad, working closely with the Hagerstown Police Department, served a search warrant at 138 W. Main St. in Hagerstown. The warrant was the result of officers following up on tips and leads and led to the discovery of a meth lab and the arrest of three men.
Arrested was Dennis Riddle, age 38, and Josh Blackburn, age 32. Both are charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Class “B” Felony, Possession of Precursors, Class “D” Felony and Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Class “D” Felony.
Also arrested at the home was Vernon Meadows, age 57 of Anderson, charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance, Class “B” Misdemeanor. Often times Meth Labs are found as a result of an anonymous tip from a neighbor or friend.
Signs to look for Meth manufacturing are a strong ammonia or solvent smell like an auto body shop. Look for rubber tubing, ether or camp fuel cans, plastic bottles with white residue, Pseudoephedrine packages, lithium battery casings, and propane tanks with a blue or green discoloration around the valve.
