The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for South Plainfield for the rest of the week. Wednesday through Saturday the National weather Service expects the heat index to exceed 100 degrees. During the day residents should be careful when working outside. Drink plenty of water and other fluids to guard against dehydration. The Borough Senior Center at 90 Maple Avenue will continue to be open as a cooling center from 8:00am to 4:00pm today through Saturday.
