Update on Four Sheriff’s Deputies Injured in Traffic Collision in Pico Rivera Thurs.

Four Deputies from the Pico Rivera Sheriff’s Station were injured in a traffic collision while responding to an assistance request of a deputy in a fight.

The four deputies were in a black and white patrol vehicle traveling Northbound on Passons Boulevard. As their patrol vehicle approached the intersection of Mines Avenue, the driver of the black and white patrol car observed an approaching vehicle and swerved to avoid a collision. The driver lost control of the patrol vehicle and collided into a telephone pole in the 5700 block of Passons Boulevard.

Two deputies sustained serious injuries and were transported to a trauma center. They are both currently listed in stable condition and remain hospitalized.

The other two deputies sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital. They were both treated and released.
