Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man that occurred on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at approximately 1:50 AM in the 900 block of West 152nd Street, Compton.

Homicide detectives have learned that deputies from Compton Station responded to a call of a gunshot victim at the location. When they arrived at the scene they found the victim lying in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The 23-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

There is no suspect information at this time.
