Worcester police would like to advise the public that there have been a number of reports of coyotes in the area.

Worcester police would like to advise the public that there have been a number of reports of coyotes near the outskirts of the city.
Coyotes have been known to go after cats and small dogs, as well as garbage cans, compost, pet food and fruit found on residential properties.

If a coyote is observed in the daytime that shows no fear of humans, is exhibiting aggressive or rabid- like behavior, or if a coyote attacks a person, contact the police department immediately. (508) 799-8600

Tips
• Do not feed coyotes
• Secure garbage containers
• Feed pets inside if possible
• Place bird feeders well above reach
• Do not approach coyotes
• Do not let pets roam and do not leave them outside unattended
