The Town of Shawangunk Police Department is investigating numerous, on going, larceies from unlocked vehicles and criminal mischief incidents in the area of the Hamlet of Wallkill. Primary area of concern is the inner hamlet and Dubois Rd and Malloy Rd areas. Crimes appear to be taking place during late evening hours and during the overnight hours.
3 Juvenile arrest have been made by this agency, but the Police do not believe they area responsible for all crimes. All residences are advised to lock their vehicles and not to leave any items of value within their vehicles. Any suspicious subjects or activity should be reported to the Police at time of occurance and if crime is in progress dial 911.
