“BOTCHED THEFT ENDS WITH ONE IN CUSTODY”
While on patrol in the area of the 5000 block of Rhonda Road, an on-duty, Anderson Police Officer witnessed Brett Anthony CROSSLIN, a 28 year old Redding resident, assault a female victim in a parking lot.
Stopping to investigate, the officer learned CROSSLIN had stolen property from a store and had pushed the Victim who was attempting to detain CROSSLIN for the theft of merchandise.
The Victim was not injured as a result of this incident and over $300 dollars worth of stolen property was recovered and returned to the rightful business. CROSSLIN was taken into custody without incident and was subsequently booked into the Shasta County Jail for Penal Code Section 211 - Robbery.
