Fleeing suspect apprehended with the assistance of CHP Helicopter H-16.
“Fleeing Passenger Aprended”
On Monday, July 1, 2013 at about 0012 hours, an Anderson Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to maintain its lane on Alexander Avenue and Little Street. The vehicle continued onto Automall Drive before stopping. Upon stopping, passenger, Adam Douglas FOSTER (a 28 year old Redding resident) exited the vehicle and fled on foot east across the north and south bound lanes of I-5 into a field/wooded area east of I-5 near Donald Lane.
Other Anderson Police Officers arrived in the area to conduct a ground search for FOSTER and the California Highway Patrol (H-16) helicopter was dispatched to further the search. Additionally, the GeoCast phone system was used by the SHASCOM Dispatch Center to notify citizens in the surrounding neighbor regarding this matter.
With the aid of CHP H-16, at about 0054 hours, FOSTER was located hiding in a field/wooded area east of Donald Lane and south of Riverside Avenue. Ground units were directed to FOSTER and he was taken into custody without further incident.
FOSTER was booked into Shasta County Jail for a Misdemeanor warrant and Delaying an Officer per Penal Code Section 148.
Additionally, passenger, Eugena Lynn STARK (a 34 year old Redding resident) was arrested on four Misdemeanor warrants which she was cited and released.
