“ANDERSON EXPLODES 2013”
TRAFFIC ADVISORY
This notification is to inform the nearby residents and those attending the July 3, 2013 “Anderson Explodes” fireworks display of important times and modifications to traffic flow into and out of the area surrounding the Shasta District Fair Grounds. Fairgrounds Drive between First Street and Second Street will be closed to traffic, just prior to the beginning of the fireworks launch, and will remain closed until the completion of the controlled traffic flow.
At about 10:00 PM the fireworks will begin and last about twenty minutes. At the conclusion of the fireworks display, pedestrians and motorists will be directed out of the area. Motorists will exit the area via the following routes:
Main Parking Lot - will exit east onto Briggs Street to HWY 273.
West Parking Lot and surface streets west of the Fairgrounds Property - will exit north on Fairgrounds Drive then east on Third Street to HWY 273 or will exit north on Fairgrounds Drive then west on Third Street then north on Missouri Lane then east on Spring Gulch Road to HWY 273.
Arrangements have been made to have police, fire, and medical personnel in the area should a fire, medical emergency, or request for police assistance be required.
Last year, the Anderson Police Department and its Citizen Volunteers were able to safely clear the area in about fifty minutes.
