Please be advised a black bear was observed in the Borough on this date on the east side of town, north of Valley Road. Residents are reminded that it is illegal to intentionally feed black bears in NJ and punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 per offense.

Report bear damage, nuisance behavior or aggresive bears to NJ Wildlife Control, NJ DEP Fish and Wildlife (908)735-8793, (877)WARN-DEP.
