City Council public hearing on an amendment to preliminary subdivisions expiration date, 7/17/13 at 6:30 pm, City Council Chambers.

The Everett City Council will hold a public hearing at their regular meeting of Wednesday, July 17, 2013, beginning at 6:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, located in William E. Moore Historic City Hall, located at 3002 Wetmore Avenue.
The purpose of the public hearing is to consider an amendment to the Everett Municipal Code to change the expiration date for preliminary subdivisions, preliminary short subdivisions, preliminary cluster subdivisions, and preliminary binding site plans from five years to seven years for preliminary approvals granted on or before December 31, 2014, and reverting to five years for preliminary approvals granted on or after January 1, 2015. The reason for the change is to make the City’s code consistent with State law.
The public is welcome to attend the public hearing and provide testimony.
There will also be a briefing for the City Council at their meeting of July 3, 2013, which has a special start time of 12:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers.
