Affluent area of New Jersey in close proximity to interstates (specifically Routes 78 and 287) are experiencing an increase in motor vehicle thefts from residences. These thefts appear to target "high end" motor vehicles including but not limited to Mercedes, BMWs, Infinities, and Range Rovers. In most cases, the vehicles were left unsecure in driveways with the key fobs inside. Residents are reminded to secure all vehicles while parked and remove keys and valuables.
