Modesto, CA – On Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 21:42 PM deputies responded to the report of victim being held against his will for ransom. The 911 caller reported that the suspects wanted $800.00 in exchange for the victim's release.
The investigation, which took several hours, ultimately led investigators to the 600 block of Spooner Court in Patterson, CA.
At one point during the investigation, the victim was allowed to leave the residence where he was being held. Deputies and detectives were able to safely take the victim into protective custody.
As investigators surrounded the residence, several suspects emerged including Jonathan Figueroa, 22 of Modesto CA. He was identified and arrested on a variety of criminal charges including kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, conspiracy by a person involved in gang activity and criminal gang activity. Figueroa is being held on $100,000 bail at the Stanislaus County Jail.
The victim was injured during his ordeal but was not seriously injured. His name in bringing withheld for his protection. This investigation in on-going, no further details are available at this time.
